Arkansas Receives $13 Million Grant For Math And Science Education

There was a press release from Governor Beebe's office last week about a new grant administered through UALR to fund training and incentive programs for AP and pre-AP courses to better prepare students for college-level work in math, science and engineering.

I wonder if Conway will be one of the 20 high schools chosen to participate?

AP as well as GT

This blog's name and some of the discussion so far overlooks half of the problem - the reduction of enhanced programs on the intermediate level for advanced students who are not identified as "GT".

Because they are not "identified" by the administration they are easy to overlook. However they have the same problem as the GT kids: the need for an advanced curriculum in all academic areas with placement in any and all areas where they excel.

Is it unreasonable to expect the administration to provide so many curricula - corresponding with the below basic, basic, proficient, and advanced identifiers? If not, at what grade levels?
